Looking Ahead
So, tonight Mark and I were talking through the next week's commitments - I have lots to look forward to! Here is a photo look of my top ten things I'm anticipating in the next week...
1) Today starts March Break!! Hooray! These photos were taken the day before school started this year - I can't wait to just play with the girls again over the Break.
2) Saturday I am going downtown Hamilton in the early am with a Redeemer University student I've been asked to mentor on his final art project. He's doing it on downtown - one of my passions! (Side note - I hope to continue a photo project I started on the Beasley neighbourhood a couple years ago in the next couple months. Did you know that this neighbourhood in Hamilton is one of the poorest in all of Canada?)
3) Then Saturday I have a date with my sanity - also known as Carolynn. Carolynn and I have been friends since grade nine and it is so great to work together now.
4) Then I move to a birthday party for one of our good friends - Aliah! How this girl is 4 already is beyond me! Aliah and Eden are just a few months apart and have always fought like they were true sisters! The last couple times we've gotten together though there have been less fights - my baby is growing up!
5) Sunday the girls and I are going to my sister's to kick off the March Break with a PJ party! When I was looking up pics of my sister - I found this old one which is one of my favourites! It's when I was just very newborn - with mom and Marcie knitting. Maybe my dad has a bit of a Photojournalistic eye too!
6) Tuesday I get to speak to a bunch of high schoolers on photography. So I'm bringing my Beth along with me to inspire them!
Here's a photo our friend Amanda snapped of us recently
7) Then Tuesday I am getting together with Madi's boyfriend, Noah from JK and his family (Lorri & Taegan). They moved away and we miss them so much!!
(Note that Noah is flipping the bird here! Hilarious!)
8) Tuesday night is me and my girls! Monica, Cherie and I try to get together a few times a year - despite the distance in driving now. These two are my encouragement, my fellow dreamers, and source of joy! The three of us all love photography and it's always a given that everyone brings photos to show what they've been up to lately. Can't wait to gab and gab and gab...
Took this when we were all together for our summer getaway (to house sit for Sandra -0 ha!)
And a better look at the beautiful Cherie
And a fun one of Monica...
9) Thursday my friend Sandra is sleeping over. Sandra and I were introduced to each other about a year and a half ago by Monica. Since then we have become great friends and I love this gal! She has 5 kids and runs a photography business! She's nuts!
And Sandra is sleeping over because.....
10) Friday morning bright and early I leave with some of my gals to VEGAS!!! Going for the WPPI conference - it's a massive photography conference. I went last year and loved it - can't wait to go back! Here's a few photos form last year's trip...
and then I much prefer the countryside to the city so we like to escape...
And Tracy who came with us last year (we'll miss you! some excuse not to come - new baby!)
and can you spot Mel in this pic? (we'll miss you too! and Mel's excuse not to come is she's homeschooling her 5 kids!)
