Chris & Lexie Engagement

Today I met Chris & Lexie - they booked me almost a year ago and so it was nice to finally meet!! They came down to Hamilton and we wandered the back alleys and downtown core looking for fun spots to photograph. They were so much fun - I can't wait for their wedding next year!!

Today is their 6th anniversary - Happy Anniversary! Thanks for spending part of it with me!

Tonight we held our marriage seminar with Leanne Friesen as our speaker. Leanne's talk was called "Love & Marriage According to Grey's Anatomy". We had 5 couples there - two newlywed couples and three engaged couples (and then Mark & myself and Leanne & her hubby!). If you don't know what I am referring to... let me rewind. I am a strong believer in
marriage for life - and not just a marriage that is stale - but one that is fulfilling and happy.
Since I am involved in so many people's lives at the beginning of their marriage journey, I wanted to offer something to them. We get training for every other area of our life - but not the one that is suppose to last "forever". I asked Leanne if she would do a talk - offering tips and suggestions on marriage. Well she did a GREAT job! We've been married 11 years and Mark and I both found it completely helpful and relevant.

Welcome Beth!!

I am thrilled to announce the newest addition to our team: Beth Smith!

I'm so excited! Beth is an amazing photographer and has now come on board as a second photographer. Beth has a strong fashion style to her photos and brings lots of artistic ideas to the team! Beth has assisted Krista throughout this last wedding season, and has been running a busy photography business of her own. (too busy!! - which is why we're joining forces!)

At this time, Beth will be photographing for people who specifically request her (she's got a big fan base!). Beth will also be leading another team of talented photographers who are also available for wedding photography. I can not keep up with the demand for weddings! (as a side note I am nearly booked for 2007 so if you are interested please inquire soon!) This new team of Beth & her assistant is an alternative option we are thrilled to provide for when I am already booked. I have specifically chosen both Beth & our assistant photographers because they share a similar style and quality of work. Ask for more information if I was booked for your wedding date for next year! A portfolio of some of Beth's work can be seen below - watch for much more to come!

Beth is a welcome addition to our staff of Mark, Carolynn and myself. She feels like part of the KJP family already! I know she feels like part of my personal family - we all love this gal - and you will too!!

On Sunday I had the privilege of shooting a large family group - 6 sisters and all of their significant others and kids! It was a big group - but they know how to have fun!!

It was great to meet Leanne and her family on Sunday - we have so many mutual friends it seemed like we already knew each other! Her kids were so great and cooperative - and their dog - wow! I wish my kids could listen as well as her dog! It was a beautiful afternoon at Gage Park for a family photo shoot! Thanks Leanne!

Shawn & Michelle

Shawn & Michelle were a fun couple to photograph as Michelle just laughs constantly at Shawn! It was fun to watch them interact and enjoy life. I know their wedding is going to be a lot of fun to photograph next year! We started at Webster's Falls and then for some variety went down into the town of Dundas. A fun shoot!

Kate & Paul

I started Sunday morning bright and early at Webster's Falls - and it was a beautiful Fall day to spend with a great couple! Paul & Kate (and Kate's adorable daughter!) were great sports - climbing around the Falls and on the slippery rocks - it was nice to go early in the morning as it was so quiet there for once! It was a fun morning and I'm really looking forward to their wedding next year!

Andrew & Amanda

Today was a beautiful November day - perfect for a wedding!! Amanda was an absolutely stunning bride - and Andrew was just beaming at her the whole time! We went to the Grist Mill at Waterloo Park for photos - what a great spot! It was a fun day - and a great way to end off the wedding season for this year! (more photos to come soon!)
